RYT 200hr, 40hr Katonah, 20hr Yoga Nidra
Over 10 years ago yoga came into my life to help balance rigorous ballet and modern dance training, and I have found that the practice continually turns my world around. Through conscious and thoughtful movement, breath, and mantra, this practice has opened my heart to freedom, self actualization, and deep empathy. With commitment and dedication, it has helped me to believe in things I never thought were imaginable such as overcoming anxiety and depression, and a lifetime of self doubt and body dysmorphia. Yoga helps me continuously become a stronger, kinder, and more receptive person. It helps me love in bigger and better ways. It helps me feel happy and free.
I teach from a Vinyasa background and was 200hr certified through Pure Yoga NYC, and Yoga Nidra certified with Sacred Sounds. My class is thoughtful in sequencing, alignment, and vigor- aimed to find self perseverance matched with ease and suppleness. I taught children for numerous years with the intention of instilling unleashed imagination, and I now teach adults throughout NYC with hopes of creating safe spaces and building community. I am proudly queer and I teach to encourage radical self love. I believe in hard work and that the path towards joy is a winding road. I believe that light exists even when we can’t see it. The first step towards healing is believing that it’s possible.
I constantly strive to make yoga accessible for everyone by offering sliding scale rates for private classes and workshops. For appointments and inquiries contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
